(OOLITIC) - An Oolitic woman was arrested Friday after Lawrence County police were called to a domestic dispute in the 400 block of Lafayette Avenue in Oolitic.
According to Sheriff Mike Branham, when the officer arrived he found 22-year-old Heather Coulter and three males on the sidewalk arguing over a custody dispute.
"Miss. Coulter was told a number of times to calm down but she refused to cooperate," Branham says.
Two of the three men told police that Coulter allegedly struck them and a child, who was in a nearby vehicle. One of the men suffered scratches to his neck and his shirt was torn. Both men wanted to file charges.
"She was yelling and screaming and started throwing papers after she was warned multiple times to calm down or she would be arrested," Branham added.
Coulter was arrested on charges of battery causing serious bodily injury, domestic battery in the presence of a child and disorderly conduct.
