(BEDFORD) - Four people were hurt in a weekend accident and one driver went to jail.
According to a Bedford Police report, 35-year-old Anthony Calabrese of Bedford was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, OWI endangerment, open container, refusal to identify self and resisting arrest. Calabrese was arrested after he called Bedford Police reporting he was intoxicated and had struck another vehicle early Sunday morning on Ind. 37 and John Williams Boulevard and there were people injured.
According to police, 21-year-old Robert Livingston of Mitchell was traveling west on John Williams Boulevard and had stopped to make a left turn onto Ind. 37 when his car was in struck at a high-rate of speed in the rear by a 2001 Ford Ranger driven by Calabrese.
Livingston complained of back pain. His three passengers were also injured. 23-year-old Cody Manuel of Mitchell complained of back pain, 18-year-old Nancy Livingston of Mitchell complained of pain to her abdomen and pelvis and a 1-year-old boy complained of pain throughout his body. None of the injured required immediate medical attention.
