(BLOOMFIELD) - Residents in the southern portion of Bloomfield might have been aware in the last couple of days of a sulfur-like odor in the air.
Dan Considine of Citizens Energy Group says the odor is from the start up of three new oil wells southwest of Bloomfield along County Roads 275 West and 275 South.
Officials are hopeful the odor will dissipate in the coming weeks.
They also stress the odor is not dangerous to the public.
According to Citizens Energy Group, they expect the odor to dissipate as the start-up process concludes.
