(BLOOMFIELD) - Two men were arrested after Greene County Sheriff deputies found stolen items in their vehicle during a traffic stop.
The items had the homeowner's name on them. That launched an investigation into several burglaries throughout the county.
The traffic stop occurred late Thursday on State Road 45 and Sparks Road in Eastern Greene County.
Three men were in the vehicle.
Police arrested 34-year-old Nicholas Dale Fry of Bloomington on a preliminary charge of possession of a controlled substance. Fry was being held without bond.
34-year-old Harry Theodore Fluharty, II, also of Bloomington, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for petition to revoke his parole in another county was booked into the jail at 11:20 p.m. Thursday by Deputy Brown on an outstanding warrant. He also is being held without bond.
A third man Derek Workman was released.
Deputies discovered the owner of the items home had been broken into and ransacked. The residents had been out in Florida when the burglary occurred. Police expect burglary charges to be filed.
Now, investigations into other suspected burglaries are currently underway.
