(BEDFORD) - Judy’s Baby Boutique is looking for volunteers and gently used items to help support Hope, pregnancy resource center.
Hope Resource Center, located at 717 Lincoln Ave. in Suite G, provides women with facts so they can be well educated with their options regarding pregnancy.
A caring and compassionate support team is available and ready to provide free pregnancy tests, verification of self-pregnancy test, information on adoption, abortion and parenting, abortion options and fetal development.
All services are free and confidential.
The center is open Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. till 5 p.m. Their phone number is (812) 275-2827.
Recipients of Hope receive vouchers for free items for attending classes and meetings that can be used at Judy's Boutique/
Floor manager Kim Bridges says Judy's Boutique is not-for-profit and relies upon donations from churches and individuals. Those donations are tax deductible.
The boutique carries gently used clothing sizes preemie to children's size 16, blankets, furniture, toys, books and baby supplies.
Judy Boutique is also open to the public and is located at 717 Lincoln Avenue in Suite D.
They are currently getting the boutique ready for spring and are looking for volunteers for a week long Super Sale, February 16 through the 21, where anything that resembles Fall or Winter will be on sale for 50% off.
Volunteers will assist customers and stock and replenish items. Volunteers are needed Monday through Friday from noon until 5 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. till 11am.
The following week, February 23 through Feb 27, volunteers will help store the Fall/Winter apparel and replenish with Spring/Summer items.
"Those days we will be open Monday through Friday from noon until to 5 p.m., our normal business hours," Bridges says. "I have a signup sheet so that volunteers will see where help is needed and would be happy to answer any questions. We are also in need of donations of baby supplies, furniture, toys and books. Some examples are high chairs, bassinets, strollers, swings, baby bath tubs, baby feeding items the list goes on and on. We also take donations of diapers to help the new mothers with that endless need."
Donations can be brought into the boutique during normal business hours or by special arrangements made with Bridges.
Normal business hours are Monday-Friday noon till 5 p.m.
