(BLOOMINGTON) - The body of a woman was recovered from Monroe Reservoir Friday night.
Indiana Conservation Officers, Monroe County Dive Team, and Perry Clear Creek Fire Department assisted Monroe County Sheriff's Department recovering the body.
Monroe County Sheriff's Department completed a welfare check at approximately 4 p.m. Friday evening on a Bloomington woman whose family stated was despondent and possibly suicidal. She was not at home and her vehicle was later located at Cutright State Recreation Area.
Police found footprints leading out onto the ice to open water with no prints leading back. The woman's body was recovered at approximately 7:30 p.m. in the water.
No foul play is suspected.
