According to a probable cause affidavit, on September 22, officer from both the Bloomington Police Department and Bedford went to several homes in Lawrence County looking for 40-year-old Travis McNulty, who was wanted on a Monroe County warrant.
Officers found McNulty at a home in the 1600 block of 16th Street hiding under a bed.

MuNulty pushed passed Officer Crane and moved toward Detective Dodd.
McNulty and Dodd struggled with McNulty clutching the knife. Officer Crane then joined the struggle and the three fell backward into a glass fish tank.
Dodd suffered a minor injury from the broken glass.
