(KENTUCKY) - 23-year-old Kristen Hostetter of Bloomfield was injured in a crash on the Pennyrile Parkway in Western Kentucky that killed a Jasper woman and injured four others.
Kentucky State Police investigated the crash that occurred just before noon Sunday.
According to police, 22-year-old Alyssa Wagner of Jasper was traveling north on Pennyrile Parkway when her 2004 Lincoln Aviator went off the left shoulder of the highway and hit a support column of an overpass and then overturned in the northbound lane.
Wagner died at the scene.
All five of her passengers were injured.
Hostetter of Bloomfield, 22-year-old Lauren Cessan of Ogden and 23-year-old Jennah Banks of Rockport, Ind. were taken by ambulance to Baptist Health Madisonville Hospital for treatment.
24-year-old Jarod Daming of Newburg was flown by helicopter to St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville and 23-year-old Malcom Web of Rockport was flown to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.
No details on the nature or seriousness of their injuries were released.
The highway was closed for some time following the crash, but then reopened.
The crash remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police who were assisted on the scene by personnel from the Hopkins County Sheriff's Department, ambulance services and Nortonville Fire and Rescue.
