(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was arrested after Bloomington Police say he placed a pillow over a female roommate’s face.
24-year-old Jeffrey Selke is facing charges of strangulation and intimidation.
Police were called to the 400 block of Varsity Lane last Friday after a person requested a welfare check on two women who lived in the apartment.
One of the woman told police said she had been in a relationship with Selke and that while he was staying with the two women he had been physically abusive and had made threats to kill or hurt other people.
The woman told police that on February 21 Selke had placed a pillow over her face and she could not breath. The women told police she was afraid of Selke and that he carried a semi-automatic handgun.
At 1:30 a.m. Monday, Bloomington police learned Selke had been arrested by Indiana University Police for drunk driving. on February 28. So officers added the additional charges of strangulation and intimidation.
