(DUBOIS CO.) - A Dubois County man is in jail after authorities say he threatened to shoot his wife and mother-in-law.
The sheriff's office says 25-year-old Donovan Cummins Jr. made the threats over the phone, shortly after Noon Monday.
Police say one victim was located at her place of employment in Jasper and the other victim was in her vehicle traveling in Dubois County when the threats were being made.
Later on Monday, Dubois and Huntingburg officers stopped Cummins in his vehicle at the intersection of 2nd and Van Buren Street in Huntingburg.
Police found a .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun which Cummins did not have a permit for.
Police says a review of Cummins' history shows that he has a felony conviction in 2007 which prevents him from carrying a handgun.
Cummins was taken into custody without incident on two counts of intimidation and carrying a handgun without a permit with a prior felony conviction. He is being held on a $10,000 bond.
