(BEDFORD) - An Ellettsville man was cited after a woman was injured in an accident on Mitchell Road Tuesday afternoon.
According to a Bedford Police report, 54-year-old Debra William of Bedford was traveling south on Mitchell Road at 30th Street and was stopped in the left lane, with her left turn signal on when her 1992 Buick LeSabre was struck in the rear by a 2003 Buick Century driven by 21-year-old Zachary Stancombe of Ellettsville
After the collision, Williams' vehicle crossed the left of center and continued southeast where it left the roadway and stopped in a ditch. Stancombe continued in a southwest direction and left the right side of the road.
Stancombe and witnesses said he was driving high-rate of speed. He was cited for maximum and unreasonable speed.
Williams complained of knee and leg pain. Stancombe was not injured during the incident.
