(FAYETTEVILLE) - Four teens suffered serious injuries in a one-vehicle accident on Ind.158 East of Lavender Lane Thursday night.
According to a preliminary Indiana State Police report by Trooper Seth Parker, the accident happened just before 9 p.m.
The driver, 17-year-old Phoenix Lindsey, was driving a 1998 Honda Accord and traveling west on Ind. 158. The vehicle went off the north shoulder of the road for a short distance and that is when he lost control of the car, crossed the center line and drove into a ditch on the north side of State Road 158.The vehicle traveled the ditch for a short distance before traveling back onto the roadway, ultimately overturning.
The vehicle stopped on its roof on the north shoulder of State Road 158.
Police say the teens were wearing their seatbelts during the incident.
The driver was flown by helicopter to the University of Louisville Hospital.
His passengers, 15-year-old Blake Lindsey and 16-year-old Braydon Wright were flown by helicopter to Kosair Childrens Hospital in Louisville. 16-year-old Elizabeth Anderson of Loogootee was taken by ambulance to IU Health Hospital.
No other information was available on the teens conditions.
