(INDIANAPOLIS) - Today, Lt. Gov. Sue Ellspermann hosted a reception for Hoosier women whose art will be displayed in the Lt. Gov.’s office for the next year.
This was the eighth year of the competition, and it is held in conjunction with Women's History Month. The competition promotes interests in drawing, painting, and photography. All types of artwork have been submitted in past competitions.
The judges and selectors of the winning artwork are Lt. Gov. Ellspermann and Dr. Laura Holzman, who is an assistant professor of Art History and Museum Studies at IUPUI.
The winning entries are in room 333 in the Indiana Statehouse, and can be viewed by the public during normal business hours.
