(ORLEANS) - Ivy Tech Community College is offering non-credit classes in Orange County for youth and adults, held at Burton Kimble Farms and the Orange County Learning Center at Springs Valley.
The youth summer camp, Summer Science on the Farm, will be held July 7 - 9 and adult classes begin in March.
Summer Science on the Farm is offered for ages six through twelve at Burton Kimble Farms in Orleans, Indiana. Campers will get a full dose of fresh air, learn about energy and electricity, and build a solar cooker and a switchboard light. Camp will be held July 7 through 9 from 9:30 to 11a.m. Cost is $49. Classes offered for adults at Burton Kimble Farms include Beginning Folk Guitar (Begins March 30), Heirloom and Herbs (Begins April 9), Watercolor Flowers and Lunch on the Farm (Begins April 11), Gardening in the Sun (Begins April 16), Containers, Pots, and Plants (Begins April 23), Sassy Sewing... Make Aprons and More (Begins May 5), The Healthy Weigh (Begins May 6), and Farm to Fork Series (Begins June 13).
Burton Kimble Farms is a cozy gathering place for enrichment, relaxation, learning and fun, located just 2 miles east of downtown Orleans in Orange County.
Think Like a Photographer, an intermediate level photography class, will be held at the Orange County Learning Center at Springs Valley located at 479 South Larry Bird Boulevard in French Lick.
