(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Community Foundation has opened its 2015 open grant cycle.
Completed applications must be returned to the community foundation by 4 p.m. April 15.
In all, $45,000 will be available for charitable programs and projects that serve Lawrence County. Additional funding is available for education and specific areas of need.
The 2014 open grant cycle funded 14 Lawrence County groups and agencies, including Lawrence County Senior Citizens, Mitchell Community Public Library, Heltonville Elementary School, Salvation Army, Lawrence InterFaith Endeavor and Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services.
Grant application packets are available at the foundation office at 1324 K St., Suite 150, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. The forms also are available at www.cfpartner.org/lccfgrantshowtoapply.htm. Nonprofit organizations recognized by the IRS as having 501(c)(3) status, educational institutions, and governmental entities are eligible to apply.
