(SEYMOUR) - A Kentucky man was arrested after an Indiana State trooper found drugs inside his car during a traffic stop.
On Monday afternoon a state trooper stopped a Kia passenger car for an expired license plate on I-65 south.
While speaking to the driver, 45-year-old Andrew Doty III of Lexington, the trooper detected some indicators of possible criminal activity.
Canine Jinx conducted an exterior check of the vehicle and alerted the trooper to possible drugs inside.
Officers found more than 3 grams of crack cocaine, four grams of marijuana, a digital scale and drug packaging materials.
Dotty was arrested on felony charges of dealing and possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. DotyI was transported to the Jackson County Jail where he was incarcerated.
