(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell man was arrested after he didn’t follow the rules for house arrests.
Police arrested 27-year-old Sy England on a warrant Wednesday.
According to a probable cause affidavit, England was serving a sentence on house arrest and told his probation officer he was leaving his home on December 29 to go to work, but his place of employment was closed.
England left his home at 3:20 p.m. without notifying community corrections he was leaving.
According to police no one knew where England was. But community corrections soon learned England was in the Orange County Jail after police arrested him on a charge of possession of meth.
Now England is in trouble in two counties. Lawrence County then filed an felony escape charge against England.
