(BLOOMINGTON) - A naked and distraught woman was found by Good Samaritans Wednesday morning.
A witness called police to report a naked woman running and crying across a parking lot near Third and Grant streets just before 3 a.m. The witness also said a man appeared to be chasing her.
According to the Herald Times, when police caught up with the naked woman and man the man told police that he heard her yelling and crying as he was leaving a bar downtown. The man told police she was intoxicated, incoherent and in distress, so the man said gave her his shirt.
Police determined this man was only trying to help the 18-year-old, said Capt. Joe Qualters.
The 18-year-old female told police that she met up with a man who she knew from Tinder. The last thing she remembers is being outside Kilroy's. She did not know the man's last name.
The woman was transported to the hospital. Investigators encouraged her to have a sexual assault examination, but she declined.
