(MONROE CO.) - Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating a robbery that was reported Sunday at Morgan Monroe State Forest.
According to the victims, they were hiking near the Mason Ridge trail just before 3 p.m. when they were robbed of some of their belongings. The victims described the suspect as a white male, approximately 5'8", medium build wearing black athletic pants, black hooded sweatshirt with a red bandana covering his face. He was last observed jogging on the Main Forest Road near the Mason Ridge Trailhead.
Conservation Officers believe this was an isolated incident, as no other robberies have occurred in the area since.
Conservation Officers will be stepping up patrols at Morgan Monroe State Forest.
