(INDIANAPOLIS) - State Sen. Brent Steele, R-Bedford, recently welcomed students from Lawrence County to the Indiana Statehouse to serve as Senate pages in January and February.
Mitchell Junior High School students Matthew Goodman, Amaya Premo,and Lauren Beeler and J.C. Lewis of Eastern Greene High School, spent a day at the Statehouse, touring the historic building, observing debates from the chamber floor and interacting with their state senators.
Students in grades six through 12 can participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session.
