(DAVIESS CO.) - A Washington man was arrested Friday night on drug and alcohol charges.
Indiana State Trooper Mitch Wier stopped a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser after the driver failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of County Road 150 NOrth and County Road 450 West northwest of Washington around 11:23 p.m.
Police stopped 67-year-old James Taylor of Washington. When the trooper approached the vehicle they detected the odor of alcohol.
Police say Taylor showed signs of impairment and was taken to the Daviess County Jail where police determined he had a blood-alcohol level of .106 percent.
While being processed at the jail, officers found Taylor had 30 Adderall pills in a plastic bag.
Taylor was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and possession of a schedule II controlled substance.
