Washington Man Killed After Being Hit By Pickup

(WASHINGTON) - A pedestrian was struck and killed Friday morning on Highway 57 in Washington in front of Jones and Son’s Concrete.

The Daviess County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene at 5:48 a.m.

Police say 47-year-old John Heffernan of Washington was driving a 1999 Chevy pickup southbound and struck 31-year-old Cody Arnold.

Arnold was pronounced dead at the scene. Heffernan was not injured.

The Sheriff's Department and City Police continue to investigate the incident.
