(BEDFORD) - Two people were arrested on drug charges Thursday night after a traffic stop at 19th and U streets.
At 10:16 p.m. a Bedford officer pulled over the vehicle and during that traffic stop they found drugs in the vehicle.
"A K-9 alerted officers to search the vehicle and they found an orange bag in the back seat containing a marijuana plant and rock-like substance," Parsley said. They also found other smaller bags of meth, a spoon with residue on it and a smoking device with residue. A smaller bag had pills in it," Chief Dennis Parsley says.
They arrested 25-year-old Chelsie Barnett of Bedford and 27-year-old Seth Christenberry, who told police he was homeless, on charges of possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of heroin, dealing meth, dealing marijuana, dealing heroin, two counts of possession of a schedule II controlled substance, two counts of a possession of a schedule IV substance, reckless possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.
Both were taken to the Lawrence County Jail without incident.
