(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after he allegedly held a knife to a woman’s throat Thursday.
According to a probable cause affidavit, 30-year-old Brandon Richter of Bedford was at a friend's home in the 5800 block of State Road 158 on April 6 when he became upset with the woman and began calling her names and allegedly hit the woman four times with his fist in the head.
He then left the home, but a few hours later returned. Later that morning Richter allegedly went into the woman's bedroom and started another argument about a cell phone. And began hitting the woman in the body, arms, face and back. The woman told police she was hit more than 30 times.
He also allegedly grabbed a paring knife and cut her breasts and held it to her throat.
"Richter told her she needed to get her '(expletive) straight' and 'know' her 'place' while he was holding the knife to her throat," the affidavit reads. He also struck her knees and legs with an aerosol can.
Richter was arrested on a warrant charging him with battery with a deadly weapon and domestic battery.
