(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was arrested early Saturday morning after he allegedly punched a man in the face during an argument at an apartment in the 3300 block of South Acadia Court.
Police received a 911 call at 2:24 a.m. after a report of an argument between two men and allegedly one of them had a knife.
When Bloomington police arrived at the apartment, officers asked those inside to exit the apartment. Three people, two men and a woman, came outside.
Police say 60-year-old Burchell Villa had been drinking when he got into an argument with one of the men because he and the man's girlfriend were being too loud and Villa wanted to go to bed.
When the man wouldn't be quiet, Villa allegedly punched him in the face and stomach. He then allegedly pulled a pocket knife and threatened to kill the man.
Police found the knife in Villa's back pocket.
Villa was arrested on charges of intimidation and battery and taken to the Monroe County Jail.
