(BROWN CO.) - A Brown County Junior High School team finished second in the “We The People” National Invitational competition Monday, completing a weekend competition.
The teams were national champions the previous two year, Brown County did win the Magna Carta Award out of all the groups.
This award is where all Unit 2 groups were asked the same question and Brown County students outshined their competitors.
Great job to Joshua Perry, Jackson Mc Pheeters, Wolf Davis and Zelton Kay.
We the People is a non-political civics program that focuses on the Constitution and is sponsored in Indiana by the Indiana Bar Foundation and nationally by the Center for Civic Education.
This year's team consists of twenty-one 8th grade students plus their teacher, Mr. Potts.
