(IRELAND) - An Ireland family lost everything when a blaze engulfed their home.
Ireland Volunteer Firefighters were call to the home of Patrick Byrne in the 4900 block of West State Road 56 just after 1 a.m. Thursday morning.
The family, who was renting the home from Bruce Terwiske, escaped unharmed after Dubois County deputies beat on the door and woke Patrick, his wife Kena and the couple's three children.
While battled the blaze several windows broke or blew out because of the intense heat and flames. It took firefighters more than three hours to extinguish the fire.
