(BLOOMINGTON) - The I-69 Development Partners will host a public open house regarding planned construction of I-69 Section 5 between Bloomington and Martinsville.
Attendees will have an opportunity to receive project updates, construction timeline and learn about planned next steps.
The open house will be held on Wednesday at the Holiday Inn, located at 1710 Kinser Pike, Bloomington, Ind. The open house will run from 6:30 p.m. till 7:30 p.m.
This informational open house format will provide attendees the opportunity to view displays and ask questions of project staff regarding the scope of the project, traffic maintenance, scheduling, landscape decisions, and design and environmental management. There will be no formal presentation.
The I-69 DP have initiated several Section 5 project construction activities. The improvements involve widening, upgrading and rehabilitating 21 miles of the existing four-lane State Road 37 to interstate standards. Improvements include new interchanges, cross-road overpasses, sound walls, retaining walls and new access roads along with new landscaping and aesthetic features.
