(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man was arrested after he fired shots into the ground during a domestic fight Friday.
Police were called to the 2700 block of South Rogers Street, at 7:49 p.m. after a report of gunshots.
When police arrived they arrested 22-year-old Levi Edwards on charges of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.
Police say when Edwards' ex-girlfriend's family arrived to remove her belongings from the apartment she shared with Edwards the girlfriend's 56-year-old father and Edwards got into an argument.
That argument escalated into a physical struggle and Edwards allegedly went and got his handgun and fired two shots into the ground in an attempt to scare his girlfriend's father into leaving.
Police say no one was injured in the incident.
