(HELTONVILLE) - An Orleans woman was injured after she was thrown from the back of a motorcycle Saturday night.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, at 5:33 p.m., 65-year-old Ernest Crane of Orleans was traveling south on Ind. 446 behind a pickup truck pulling a trailer.
The driver of the 1999 Chevrolet truck, 49-year-old Joey Harper of Heltonville, stopped suddenly to make a left turn onto Humpback Bridge Road. Crane told police the driver did not signal his turn. Police say the light on the trailer were not working.
Crane's 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle rear-ended the trailer causing 65-year-old Susanne Crane to be thrown from the back of the motorcycle.
Susanne suffered minor cuts to her hands, knee and the left side of her face. She was treated at the scene, but refused to be transported to the hospital.
Ernest Crane and Harper were not injured. Police say both Ernest and Susanne were wearing helmets.
