(JASPER) - Two men were arrested after an argument turned violent.
Arrested were 24-year old Christopher Barrett of Huntingburg and 23-year old Kelvin Brown of Jasper.
Jasper police say at about 8:45 p.m. last Saturday, an argument between Barrett and another employee at the Jasper Rubber Products Plant #1 and Barrett allegedly hit the other man in the back of the head and then began cutting a second man.
Police says the second victim suffered numerous cuts to his raised arm warding off the blows.
Police say Brown also hit the victim with a pole during the altercation.
JPD says the victim was able to pull out a stun gun and tazed Barrett which allowed him to get away.
The man fled the plant and was taken to taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment his wounds which police say were numerous.
Police have not said what triggered the altercation.
Barrett and Brown were arrested Thursday without incident.
Barrett is facing numerous felony battery charged due to his use of a deadly weapon and due to the seriousness of the injuries inflicted, felony aggravated battery causing serious bodily injury, battery with a deadly weapon, and a misdemeanor count of battery resulting in bodily injury.
Brown is facing charges of felony battery resulting in bodily injury.
