(WASHINGTON CO.) - After an intense investigating into several thefts and burglaries in Washington County, police have arrested two Henryville men.
On Wednesday, Washington County Police received a tip of where 37-year-old James Pumphrey was. He was a suspect into a rash of burglaries. When officers arrived, Pumphrey took off running into a field and then woods.
In the meantime officers found 32-year-old Randy Pumphrey on Cox Ferry Road and he admitted to his involvement to one of the burglaries. With him was 31-year-old Priscilla Crane of Louisville, who was wanted on warrants in Kentucky.
At approximately 11 p.m. police located James Pumphrey in the Henryville area and he was arrested and taken to the Clark County Detention Center.
James Pumphrey is facing five counts of felony burglary, six counts of theft and five counts of aiding, inducing or causing an offense of burglary.
Randy Pumphrey was charged with one count of felony aiding in burglary.
The investigation is continuing with more arrests possible.
Other departments involved in the investigation were the City of Salem Police and the Indiana State Police.
