(WASHINGTON) - A Washington man died after he was struck by an SUV Friday night at South East Sixth Street and East National Highway in Washington.
According to police the accident happened just after 10 p.m. 42-year-old Penny Kabriel was traveling west on National Highway in a 2001 Ford Escape when 44-year-old Kelly Quiggins was attempting to walk across the highway and was struck by the SUV.
Quiggins was taken to Daviess Community Hospital and then flown by helicopter to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis where he later died.
The accident is still under investigation.
