(HARDINSBURG) - A joint investigation last week conducted by officers from the Paoli Police Department, Orange County Sheriff’s Department and the Indiana State police resulted in the seizure of meth, precursors and other equipment used to make the drug along with drug paraphernalia.
Officer discovered those items at the home of 33-year-old Katrina Balasty in the 7800 block of South County Road 675 East in Hardinsburg.
Balasty was arrested on charges of possession of meth and manufacturing meth, possession of precursor chemicals, maintaining a common nuisance.
While at the scene, officers also located firearms including an assault rifle and a loaded handgun. Possession of weapons while in possession of illegal drugs enhances drug offenses under the new Indiana Criminal Code which was enacted in July of 2014.
