(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested on a warrant after he allegedly struck and choked a woman in April.
Lawrence County Police arrested 31-year-old Jason Flinn on charges of domestic battery and strangulation.
According to a probable cause affidavit, on April 25, the woman's father called police after the woman had sent him photos of her injuries.
Officers went to the woman's home in the 400 block of North Shawswick Station Road to find the woman with a swollen eye from where Flinn had allegedly hit her.
According to the woman, Flinn became angry with the woman and "put her in a choke hold." The woman told police she fought back after not being able to breathe. She then fell to the floor and that is when Flinn jumped on her and punched her in the eye.
The woman was able to get away and sent a text message with photos to her father, who then called for help.
Police say a 7-year-old boy witnessed the attack.
When police talked to Flinn he allegedly admitted to being in an argument with the woman and told police he had punched her in the face.
