(MITCHELL) - A Bedford woman was injured after she lost control of her vehicle and struck a tree Thursday night.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 28-year-old Crystal Stigall of Bedford suffered injuries to her face, neck and lower back pain.
Stigall told police she was attempting to follow a vehicle she believed tried to run her off the road while traveling on Yockey Road. Stigall told police she continued to follow the other vehicle and was traveling south on Meridian Road and was coming to a curve in the road at about 50 to 55-miles-per-hour when she lost control of her 2000 Honda Civic and went off the south side of the road and struck a tree.
Marion Volunteer Fire Department first responders and a Seals ambulance responded to the scene.
Stigall was taken by ambulance to St. Vincent Dunn Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
