(DAVIESS CO.) - Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an ATV accident that occurred Saturday evening in Daviess County that left one woman in intensive care.
At approximately 3:15 p.m. Daviess County Dispatch received a 911 call advising of an ATV accident at the intersection of County Road 150 North and County Road 200 West.
22-year-old Carrie Scott of Monroe City was turning onto County Road 200 West when her ATV flipped and landed on top her.
She was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with head injuries and later transported to St. Mary's in Evansville.
Responding agencies included the Daviess County Sheriff's Department, Southwest Medical, Washington Township Fire Department and Indiana Conservation Officers.
Scott was not wearing a helmet, which is highly recommended along with other protective gear such as gloves, chest protectors and shin guards when operating an ATV.
