(OOLITIC) - Registration for the Dink Morrison Memorial Golf Scramble is due Friday.
The event will be held May 16th at Otis Golf Course and the funds raised will be used for the Oolitic Festival.
The cost for a 4-member team is $200.
The shotgun start will begin at 8 a.m.
"Dink Morrison always coordinated our golf outing every years," says Oolitic Festival Committee President Glenn Gross. "Dink died unexpectedly from an aneurysm. His wife Cindy is still very involved with our festival committee. We want all of Dink's family and friends to come out and honor Dink."
Dave Berry, event coordinator says there will be food, beverages and a lot of great door prizes including Colt and Hoosier Lottery golf gear. He is still looking for prize donations and hole sponsors. The cost of sponsoring a hole is $50.
The top three teams will also win cash prizes.
"We want everyone to be winners so everyone's name will be put in the hat to win the cash prizes," says Gross. "We have some different items to give away, items I think people will be really impressed with."
To register for the golf scramble visit Oolitic Town Hall, or the Oolitic Festival Facebook page to download the registration form and mail it to Oolitic Festival, PO Box 7, Oolitic, Indiana 47451.
If you have questions or would like to sponsor a hole or donate prizes contact Dave Berry, event coordinator at (812) 583-0219 or Glenn Gross, festival president at (812) 275-6605.
