(ORLEANS) - More than 30 firefighters battled a barn fire just east of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Orleans.
Orange County Rural District II Fire Chief Bill Sallee says the older two-story barn owned by Travis Griffith was destroyed.
Firefighters were alerted to the blaze at 4:45 p.m. and were on the scene until around 8:30 p.m.
The 30-foot by 60-foot barn which was used for storage contained a Chevrolet Tahoe that Griffith was working on. The vehicle was also destroyed during the blaze.
