(BLOOMFIELD) - After much discussion, the Greene County Council gave the nod of approval for a tax abatement and a designation as an Economic Revitalization Area for a tract of land in Taylor Township.
The Greene County Daily World reports, Hoosier Energy Rural Electric Cooperative, Inc. will be using the land, which is located just south of Bloomfield, to construct a solar array for the generation of solar energy.
The solar panels installed would move to a 45 degree angle on both sides and will remain stationary parallel to the ground during nights.
