The caller reported a group of 10 to 15 people were involved in an altercation in the 7000 block of Bartlettsville Road and they believed shots had been fired.
Officers rushed to the scene.
According to police, 41-year-old Andrew Smith, who had been drinking, was attending one party and had left that party to other. That is when he made an unwanted sexual advance toward a woman. Others at the party attempted to get Smith to leave, but he refused.
That is one of the people at the party got a shotgun and fired a couple of shots into the air to scare Smith off.
That is when the fight broke out. When police arrived no one wanted to file charges.
The woman, however, told police she wanted to file sexual battery charges against Smith. That is when Smith took off running and after a short pursuit he was arrested on charges of sexual battery and resisting arrest by fleeing.
