(BLOOMINGTON) - The Indiana Department of Transportation has launched a $2.2 million summer repair and resurfacing project on Ind. 46 west of Bloomington.
Construction crews will remove the concrete curbs, ramps and sidewalks and replace them.
The 6.2-mile project extends from Ind. 37 to Red Hill Road and includes the one-way pairs through Ellettsville.
Milestone will be making a significant number of full- and partial-depth pavement patches before milling and overlaying the road with new asphalt.
New curbs and sidewalks will be installed with 92 curb ramps to meet requirements with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
