(UNDATED) - A recent study shows that Hoosiers need more nutritious meals and exercise.
Indiana was the eighth most obese state in the country in 2014, according to Gallup-Healthways data released Wednesday, with 31.4 percent of Hoosiers being rated obese, up from 29.9 percent in 2013.
The Hoosier state moved up four spots, placing Indiana at its highest obesity ranking since the 2011 study, when it was seventh at 29.4 percent.
