(LOOGOOTEE) - Stormwater concerns were the big topic at Loogootee City Council meeting.
The Washington Times Herald reports several spoke about water drainage in recent years on their properties.
Mayor Noel Harty told reporters it's time for city leaders to start doing something about the matter. Harty hinted he may ask the council to approve a surcharge to address the problem. No action was taken on the surcharge.
Last fall state officials told the council there are grants available to fund storm water system improvements and project which could be a future option.
