(EAST OOLITIC) - An East Oolitic man was arrested on a warrant Tuesday for punching a woman and refusing to let her leave.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Lawrence County police were called to a mobile home on May 7 in East Oolitic after a 911 call reported a domestic fight.
When the officer arrived, a person outside of the home reported 35-year-old Lloyd Wilson had the woman in a headlock inside the home.
The officer knocked on the door and when no one answered, they entered the home. Police found the woman "cleaning up" from where she had been allegedly been beat by Wilson. The woman had bruises on her arms, chest and injuries to her legs.
The woman told police Wilson was mad at her and threw her off the porch, then threw her on the ground, punched her in the head and bit her breast.
When she put up her hands to block the blows to her face and head, Wilson began punching her hands.
The woman told police she tried to leave the home the day before the attack, but Wilson wouldn't let her. On that day Wilson allegedly punched her in the arm and stood in the doorway blocking the woman from leaving.
The woman told police that every time she attempted to leave Wilson would force her back into the home by shoving, punching her or blocking her path from leaving.
