Man Found With Large Knife On B-Line Trail

(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police were called to the B-Line Trail after a report of a man with a machete.

According to BPD Sgt. Joe Crider, officers were called to the trail around 2:22 p.m. to the area on the trail near Pole 18.

When officers arrived they found a man sitting on a bench with a knife with a 12-inch fixed blade near the bench.

When police asked if the knife belonged to him the man said no.

The man was not arrested, but Crider says that officers took the knife for safekeeping.
