(ORLEANS) - The popular musical group, Pet Monkey Band, will entertain Orleans Dogwood Festival goers when they take the main festival stage tonight at 7 p.m.
From its origins in the summer 2011, Pet Monkey was pieced together with musician acquaintances of bassist David Webb. Drummer Todd Bassinger and keyboardist Doug Hansom had recently played with Webb in a band called "Rodeo Joe," while guitarist Scott Strange had played years ago with Webb in "The Jay Michal's Band" Lead Guitarist Tyler Parker knew Webb as they grew up and lived in the same area of Monroe County.
When it all came together in Parker's practice studio, the guys knew what they had and what they could become: a project that could boast tight three and four part harmonies and some scorching solos by both Doug and Tyler. Pet Monkey has been playing to satisfied and enthusiastic crowds throughout central and southern Indiana.
