(BLOOMINGTON) - The family of an Indiana University senior found slain last month in a rural area has received her diploma during a private ceremony on the Bloomington campus.
Hannah Wilson's family was presented with her diploma on Friday.
The 22-year-old Wilson was majoring in psychology at IU and was set to graduate Saturday.
IU spokesman Mark Land says a moment of silence was held during Saturday's commencement ceremonies to remember Wilson.
Wilson was found beaten to death April 24 near Lake Lemon in Brown County, about 10 miles northwest of IU's Bloomington campus.
Prosecutors have charged 49-year-old Daniel Messel of Bloomington with murder in her slaying.
