(BEDFORD) - A Freedom man was injured after he lost control of his SUV Monday night.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 19-year-old Joseph Goen was traveling on River Road when his vehicle hit a patch of loose gravel causing him to lose control of his 2002 Pontiac Montana.
The vehicle went off the north side of the road, struck an embankment and flipped onto the passenger side.
Goen and two passengers were able to crawl out after several of the vehicle windows busted when the vehicle flipped.
Goen told police he was traveling around 25 to 30 miles per hour when he hit the gravel and lost control of the SUV.
Goen complained of elbow and lower arm pain, but refused medical attention at the scene. His mother told police she would take her son to IU Health Hospital for medical attention.
