(SEYMOUR) - Within 20 minutes of receiving information on Friday that someone was attempting to sell their food stamp benefits, police had two people they believed were involved in the crime in custody.
34-year-old Misty F. Woods and 33-year-old Joshua Turner, who live together in Seymour, were arrested and face charges of welfare fraud, a class A misdemeanor, according to a news release from the Jackson County Sheriff's Department.
Woods also faces felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and violation of the Legend Drug Act after Fentanyl patches were found in her possession.
